Star Lion College of Engineering & Technology (SLCET) was established in the year 2010 by Srimathi Renganayaki and Sri Sriramulu Educational and Public Charitable Trust for promoting higher education in the remote districts of Southern Tamilnadu.

SLCET is approved by AICTE, New Delhi (SRO 2010-1-6588841 dated 2 Aug 2010) and is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. It is situated on tanjavur – kumbakonam state high way and is located 10 kms from Tanjavur old bus stand. The college is situated in 13 acres area of full of green. It is functioning in the buildup area of 1, 23,000 square feet.
