National Pharma Hospital and Research Institute is a multi-specialty hospital located at the Neelakiri Panchayat area near Thanjavur Medical College, Thanjavur. This was inaugurated in the year 2010 and medical services were started from 2011 January onwards.

This is located in the main Medical College – Vallam road in a spacious sprawling green campus. The Hospital provides Tertiary Care with facilities on par with all corporate hospitals. This facility is established by its founder Chairman Rtn. F. Hajee. L. Kamal Batcha, who had successfully established a pharmaceutical manufacturing unit in the name of National Pharma since 1968 and has been instrumental in establishing a name for its products among the noble medical profession in India and Southeast Asian countries. He had also successfully established a similar unit in Malacca, Malaysia a first of its kind in India for manufacturing its Herbal Products. The herbal products of this unit are still popular in these countries and his rich experience and guidance along with the hospitals he had visited during his many trips to foreign countries have been the major inputs for establishing this hospital.
